United States Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. to Bangladesh Geeta Pasi

Geeta Pasi

Geeta Pasi joined the United States Foreign Service in 1988 after working as an institutional financial market researcher in New York City.

Her appointments have included both domestic and overseas assignments. In Washington, D.C. she was a member of the Secretary of State’s advance team and was responsible for managing the Secretary’s overseas travel. She also served as Desk Officer for Afghanistan at the Department of State from 2001-2003. Immediately prior to her arrival in Bangladesh, she served as Deputy Principal Officer at the American Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany. Her other assignments include Cameroon, Romania, Ghana, and India.

Geeta Pasi graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, and completed a Master’s Degree in French Studies at New York University. Ms. Pasi hails from Herkimer, New York. Her foreign languages include French, Hindi, Romanian and German.
