Case Status Check

The U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh is pleased to announce that applicants who apply on/after August 19, 2009 will be able to check their case status online beginning August 27, 2009.  Applicants who were interviewed before August 19, 2009 will still be contacted by the Consular Section.  The case status report is updated daily.

How to check your case status online
Please click here and use the PIN ID in order to obtain the status of your case.  Your unique PIN ID is located in the bottom right hand corner of your additional administrative processing letter.

How to read the case status
There are three types of case status remarks:
PENDING PROCESSING, SEND PASSPORT, and COLLECT PASSPORT.  

Pending processing
Your case is still pending additional processing. The Embassy cannot issue you a visa or waive this requirement.

Send passport
You may submit your passport on any workday at 10:00 a.m. for processing.
“SEND PASSPORT” does not guarantee that a visa will be issued. Your application may require further additional processing.

Collect passport
You may pick up your passport and visa in the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy any workday at 1 p.m. Please bring the letter with your PIN ID.

If you need your passport while your case is still processing, you may pick it up at the embassy any day at 1pm.
