The U.S. Embassy does not process applications for Social Security benefits claims, survivor benefits claims, educational benefits and compensation, and pension examinations. The Embassy advises applicants, delivers Federal Benefits checks to recipients and also accepts applications for Social Security Numbers. How to apply for a Social Security Number at the Embassy: If you would like to submit your original application for a Social Security Number or to replace, correct, or change your name on your Social Security Card, please report to the Embassy from 1pm to 4 pm any working day or call us at 880-2-8823805.
