Borrowing Privileges and Responsibities

Members may borrow two items (book or DVD) at a time. Books for two weeks and DVDs for three days. If books are not in demand, they may be renewed for an additional two weeks on request by telephone, email, or in person. CDs, audiotapes, videos, periodicals and reference books are not for loan. Borrowers’ cards are not transferable, and a member is responsible for everything borrowed on his/her card. Any change of address, phone number, or loss of membership card should be reported immediately to avoid any inconvenience or being held responsible for books drawn on the lost card. A replacement card costs 100 taka. The Archer K. Blood American Center Library reserves the right to restrict admission and to cancel the enrollment of any person who does not comply with regulations.
