Security Notice for December 26, 2006

Although the situation is under control, there are thousands of demonstrators in the downtown area. We recommend that the Dhaka downtown area be avoided until the mass gatherings subside for the day.

We also recommend that American citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
