Bangladesh National Party (BNP) will hold protest demonstrations at the following locations in Dhaka city beginning at 1500 today, April 21st continuing through tomorrow, April 22nd.

The Bangladeshi Police have informed the Embassy that the Bangladesh National Party (BNP) will hold protest demonstrations at the following locations in Dhaka city beginning at 1500 today, April 21^st  continuing through tomorrow, April 22^nd :

• Nayapaltan BNP Headquarters
• Muktangan near the Secretariat

The Embassy advises all Americans to avoid the above listed places for the next 48 hours.

We remind all Americans to exercise vigilance when traveling in Dhaka as demonstrations can occur with little warning.  Please be alert and aware at all times and vary routes and schedules.  We encourage all American Citizens to carry their mobile phones with them at all times.
