Police have stated that the "Siege" program of the Awami League and the 14 party alliances has been withdrawn. The security environment in Dhaka is calm, road blockades have been removed, intra/inter city road and rail transportation systems are fully functional.

However, the Awami League will organize a “sit-in” around the Election Commission Secretariat from 10:00 hrs to 14:00 hrs.

We recommend that American citizens continue to avoid areas where large crowds are gathered, especially the Election Commission Secretariat.

We also recommend that American citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
