The police have confirmed that the Awami League will organize demonstrations and meetings throughout the country. In Dhaka, areas of large public gatherings will be at the Muktangan and Bangabandhu Avenue. Be advised, some demonstrators will pass through the Diplomatic Enclave to join the demonstrations/meetings at the Muktangan.

We recommend that American citizens avoid areas where large crowds are gathered, especially in those areas listed above.

We also recommend that American citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
