The police have stated that the following groups have planned demonstrations near downtown Dhaka on Tuesday, December 19, 2006.

The BNP will organize a demonstration at the Paltan Maidan at 14:00 hrs.

We recommend that American citizens avoid areas where large crowds are gathered, especially the Paltan Maidan and the Natun Bazar highway.

We also recommend that American citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
