Security Notice for December 27, 2006

The police have stated that the following group has planned a demonstration near downtown Dhaka on Wednesday, December 27, 2006.

The Bangladesh Hindu-Buddist-Christian Okkya Porishshad will organize a demonstration at 15:00 hrs at the Muktangan.

We recommend that American citizens avoid areas where large crowds are gathered, especially the Muktangan.

We also recommend that American citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
