GENERAL DEMONSTRATIONS

Police confirmed that the following groups have planned demonstrations near downtown Dhaka on Monday, November 6, 2006.

The Jatiyo Shamajtantrik Dal (JASHOD) will hold a demonstration at 11:00 hours at the Muktangan.

The Dhaka District Auto Rikshaw Sramik Union will hold a demonstration at 15:00 hours at the Muktangan.

The Chattro Shangram Porishad will hold a demonstration at 15:00 hours at the Muktangan.

The Bangladesh Shamajtantrik Dal (BASHOD) will hold a demonstration at 16:00 hours at the Topkhana road.

We recommend that American citizens avoid the Muktangan and Topkhana Road.

We also recommend that American citizens monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
