Security Notice, October 16, 2006

GENERAL DEMONSTRATIONS

Police sources confirmed that the following group has planned a demonstration near downtown Dhaka on Monday, October 16, 2006.

The Bangladesh Rikshaw Owners' League will hold a demonstration at 15:00 hours at the Muktangan.

We recommend that American citizens avoid the Muktangan area during the time specified above.

We also recommend that American citizens monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.
