On Sunday, October 28, Bangladeshi authorities are reopening Dhaka University following last August’s student demonstrations. Although there are no indications that there will be any violence, police personnel will be on stand by. They have informed the U.S. Embassy that they will restrict any demonstrations to the Dhaka University campus. Accordingly, the U.S. Embassy advises American citizens to avoid the Dhaka University area on Sunday, October 28. Please stay tuned to local media sources for updated information.
