Treasury

The U.S. Treasury has an "Office of Technical Assistance" that provides support to other governments in the following areas:  Budget, Debt, Taxes, Anti-Money Laundering Compliance and Financial Institutions. 

The Technical Assistance Program in Bangladesh consists of one Resident Advisor from the Financial Institutions sector of the Treasury Department who is assigned to the Central Bank of Bangladesh.  The primary goal of this program is to improve the ability of the Central Bank to supervise the banking sector in Bangladesh and provide banking expertise in related areas.
