Police sources have confirmed the following protests are planned for today, December 11, 2005:

The Dhaka City Awami League will organize a protest around the Muktangan today at 1500 hours in protest of the government's failure to stop the bombing.

The Communist Party of Bangladesh will stage a protest at the Purana Paltan today at 1500 hours in protest of the recent suicide attacks at the Udichi’s Netrokuna City Office.

We wish to remind American Citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn violent. American Citizens are urged to avoid these areas if possible, and to exercise caution whenever they are in the vicinity of demonstrations. We advise all Americans to avoid large public gatherings, especially if an incident has just occurred.
