Police sources have confirmed that the following protests are planned for December 12, 2005:

Hizbut Tahrir Bangladesh will organize a demonstration in front of its office at Kakrail (Map-11E) at 1100 hours to protest alleged police harassment of their activists in connection with the investigation of the recent bombings attributed to Islamist extremists.

Left Democratic Front will stage a protest around the Muktangan (Map-11E) at 1600 hours to protest the recent bombings.

We wish to remind American Citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn violent. American Citizens are urged to avoid these areas if possible, and to exercise caution whenever they are in the vicinity of demonstrations. We advise all Americans to avoid large public gatherings, especially if an incident has just occurred.
