Police sources have confirmed the following Public rallies that are planned for today, December 27 & tomorrow, December 28:

Islamic Constitutional Movements will organize a Mass Public Rally around the Muktangan (near Bangladesh Secretariat) at 1400 hours today in protest of government failures to stop the bombings.

Police have advised to avoid the following downtown areas during the rally: Muktangan, Purana Paltan, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Press Club, Rajuk Avenue, Gulistan, Matijheel CA.

Tomorrow, December 28, 2005

Jamate Islami Bangladesh will organize a Mass Public Rally at the Paltan Maidan (Near Dhaka Stadium) at 1400 hours tomorrow in protest of the oppositions that has blamed them in the connection of the recent bombings.

Police have advised to avoid the following downtown areas during the rally: Muktangan, Purana Paltan, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Press Club, Rajuk Avenue, Gulistan, Matijheel CA.

We wish to remind American Citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn violent. American Citizens are urged to avoid these areas if possible, and to exercise caution whenever they are in the vicinity of demonstrations. We advise all Americans to avoid large public gatherings, especially if an incident has just occurred.
