Voter Registration Drive for American Citizens
 Thursday, August 7, 2008

There is still time to register to vote and request an absentee ballot for the 2008 presidential and general elections.  Voting Assistance Officers will be available on August 7 at the American Recreation Association (ARA) to answer questions, hand out voting materials, and help absentee voters complete the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA).  Voters will also be able to turn in their completed FPCA to the Voting Assistance Officer so it can be mailed postage-paid through the diplomatic pouch.

Event:       Voter Registration Drive
Date:        Thursday, August 7, 2008
Time:        5:30 – 8:00 PM
Place:       Bougainvillea Room, The American Recreation Association (ARA)
                 Road 69, Gulshan-2, Dhaka

Note: If you are not a member of the ARA, a U.S. passport will be required for admission.

For more information about absentee voting, visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) website at www.fvap.gov.
