This Warden Message is to alert all U.S. citizens that the six senior leaders of the banned Bangladeshi terrorist group Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) who were under death sentences have been executed.  As a precautionary measure, American Embassy staff have been restricted to the diplomatic enclave. 

We advise all American citizens in Bangladesh be alert to situations that could affect their personal security.  We take this opportunity to remind you that the Department of State’s website has guidance for travelers which you may want to review at the following link, (http://www.state.gov/m/ds/rls/rpt/19773.htm).  We also remind you that three best ways for Americans to protect themselves are: 1) varying the routes and times they travel to and from work or any other regularly visited place, 2) using the buddy system when walking in their neighborhoods, and 3) carrying their mobile telephones with them.
