Police sources confirmed the following demonstrations are planned for today, November 29, 2005:Bangladesh Workers Party will stage a demonstration in front of their party office at Tupkhana road at 1500 hours in protest of the ruling alliance’s alleged involvement in raising terrorism in the country.
Islami Okiyo Jute will stage a demonstration around the Muktangan area at 1500 hours in support of their demands that government arrest the leaders of terrorist groups and control price hikes of essential commodities.
Police sources further confirmed that on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 from 1100 hours to 1300 hours. The 14 party opposition alliances lead by The Awami League will stage protest demonstrations in front of District Commissioner’s offices all over the country in support of their current political movements. In Dhaka demonstration will be staged at The office of the District Commissioner on Johnson Road.
We wish to remind American Citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn violent, and accordingly American Citizens are urged to avoid the areas of demonstrations, if possible and to exercise caution if in the vicinity of demonstrations.
