2008 Election Events in Dhaka

The 2008 general election on November 4th is approaching quickly!  Come and gather with fellow American citizens and voters, learn more about the candidates, talk to Voting Assistance Officers, and prepare your absentee ballots.

Event:     Live Showing of the First Presidential Debate
Date:       Saturday, September 27, 2008
Time:      7am-11am
Place:      Bougainvillea Room
The American Recreation Association (ARA)
Road 69, Gulshan-2, Dhaka. 

 

NOTE:  If you are not a member of the ARA, a U.S. passport will be required for admission.

Please note that if the First Presidential Debate is postponed, we will hold a Registration drive 9:00-11:00 am at ARA.

For more information about absentee voting, visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) website at www.fvap.gov.

The Voting Assistance Officer at the U.S. Embassy is also always available to answer questions about absentee voting.  To contact the Voting Assistance Officer, call 88-02-882-3805 or send an e-mail to VoteDhaka@state.gov.
